Plugging products

I was wondering what all of you thought about someone plugging their own brewing products on the message board. If I have developed a product that I think would be good for homebrewers, and it happens to be for sale, what is the correct way to offer it as a solution? Would anyone be upset if I posted the URL for my product and asked their opinion of it? Thanks.
