Hey, I came up with a Dreadnaught clone... Well, not exactly, but I'm surprised how close I got!
I took 12# American Pale malt
1.5# American Crystal malt
and mashed at 152F for an hour. I batch sparged until the runnings were a little under 1.08 OG, and then stopped. The volume ended up at about 4.5 gallons. I boiled this for one hour. I added hops at 1 hour, 30 minutes, 15 minutes, 5 minutes, and I dry hopped. Each hop additon consisted of .25oz each of columbus, simcoe, fuggles, and amarillo. I fermented with east coast ale yeast by white labs. It's carbonating now.
Looking back, I would use a bit more pale malt, a bit less crystal, and perhaps increase the amarillo hops to .5oz on the flavor, aroma, and dry hoppings.
OG=1.080
FG=1.019
IBU=10,000,000,000
