The Mountains

We went up in the Mountains this weekend. I got to try Backcountry Brewery in Frisco, and the Breckenridge Brewery in Breckenridge.

The beers at Backcountry were pretty good. I'm kind of bummed though b/c I got some bombers and the beer in bottles is a LOT worse than what I remember at the brewery.

I've never been a big fan of Breckenridge beers, but after an 8 mile hike they sure did hit the spot! :D

My wife used to live in Breck, and we visited a couple of years. I went to those 2 places and Dillon Dam.

Dillon Dam was my favorite of the 3 and Breckinridge was my least favorite. I had the same issue with bottles vs. draft at the brewpub with Backcountry. Much better on draft!

I'll have to remember the Dillon Dam for the next time we head up there. My daughter wants to take up snowboarding so I'm sure we'll be back.

I have found this to be the case almost all of the time. The beer on tap at the brewery is almost always better than the bottled product.
