i just found this (http://www.outdoorcooker.com/shop/product.asp?product_id=1030) two-burner (tiered) burner cart for only $158. seems to be one of the most affordable options for starting a tiered brewing sculpture. any thoughts?

Not bad, shipping to me would still keep it under $175. I wonder what they rate the burners at? I see the lower one is a jet, similar to the ones I have and they have regulators for 235K BTU's.

To me it looks like the tiers are too close together maybe - how would you put two 60-80 qt pots on it?

i was actually thinking i'd use converted kegs, but the dimensions are definitely worth looking into.

...as well as how much weight the structure will support.

MoreBeer has some sculptures (http://www.morebeer.com/catalog.php3?secID=besculptures&secName=All-Grain+Brewing+Complete+Systems) for those who have a bit more cash to spend (or who routinely do enough step mashes to make it worthwhile). They have enough nice features to be worth a look, and the plans for them will only run ou around ~$50.

I havent tried this yet, but I picked up a used metro type cart. You know one of those big metal carts they use in kitchens. You can check em out by doing a google on metro carts if you want. Anyway I got a used one for 45 bucks and each shelf can supposedly hold 300 lbs. so I was thinking of just running lines between the wires and having a turkey fryer on each shelf for fire. I will let you know how that goes.

I'm thinking of just making an angle iron stand and buy two burners from King Cooker for $15.50 each. I'd like to buy two kes to convert or convert them myself. I don't mind the little projects, in fact I like doing them, it's just the time to do it.....

I'm not ready yet, but plan on it.

Too much going on right now with spring, house, bday parties, building chicken coop, funerals, School registration, raising 2 kids and a wife.......I could go on.

Oh and most importantly, making beer!

Sometimes you have to take a break from those projects and work on fun projects ;)

I do have my priorities!

Next will be a double batch of a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale Clone!

I made my first AG batch and keep taste testing it. Now it's all gone!

I was going to enter it into the National Homebrew Competition! Not now. haha

I have to finish the Chicken coop and Pen this Sunday. We are getting Chickens by Easter.

Then I'm free the weekend of the 3/4. I'll attempt a double batch then.

All my friends think I'm turning into a Redneck Hillbilly!

Making my own beer, raising my own chickens. I want to slaughter some roosters, smoke some meat, stuff like this!

You need to put, at minimum, a non-working applicance in your front yard. A non-working vehicle(on blocks) is even better.

I'm thinking a 77 Chevy Nova, (not the 2 door, but the 4 door). an appropriate amount of rust, maybe even the hood off and leaning up against the passenger door. you can walk outside with your progeny and say "son, someday this will all be yours"...

why yes, I think I might be...

I'm allowed, however, because sitting on my driveway is a 12 year old gray F150 with several dents, peeling paint, a topper that doesn't match, and a slightly askew front bumper...

Nice - good use of a Simpson's reference.

Nice - good use of a Simpson's reference.

I figured I would be the only one to get that! Since we've hijacked this thread long enough I have to come up with some sort of question to get it back on track.

Does anybody know of a website that shows the keg conversion process?
