Bottle: Green and white label - marked as malt liquor - 5.4% abv - heralded as the oldest brewery in the world - est. 1040 AD(damn that is old)
Appearance: stunningly clear golden yellow. Head still holding on around the edges after 15 minutes(and my son backwashing into it).
Nose: screams out cloves and phenol
Taste: nice carbonation. Tastes predominately of phenolic clove-like compounds - the kind not atypical of wheat beers. Slightly watery but to style, IMO.
It's pretty good but I don't know if I'd buy it again. I favor the banana wheats a little more. Nothing wrong with it - just less my cup of beer(err..tea).
