This a rescue of a different sort
I joined my local Volunteer Fire Deptment a month ago and after our business meeting on thursday the subject of beer came up.
I mentioned the fact that I was on my 3rd batch of homebrew and the room drew silent and all eyes turned to me, it was like I turned into somekind of Superhero. After all the usual questions (how much, what kind and taste) I brought up kegging and all grain and to my surprize a few of my friends asked what I needed to complete my projects between the 2 I was offered 6 corny kegs and 3 sanke all the co2 i need (I traded a o2 regulator for a Co2) My friend with the Co2 owns a Welding shop. He wants a bud clone, oh well I will sacrifice my time for the greater good. Well this weekend is Planning time and part gathering.
If you have any good ideas on a portable AG Setups I'm all ears
I have a 48 qt cooler and lots of 1/2" copper.

sorry about the rambling I couldn't wait to share my luck with people that cared.

The wife said thats nice dear I'm happy for you.

Why does he want a Bud clone? There are so many other styles out there, with more flavor/alcohol/what have you....

Brew him a Czech Budvar clone!

Or, at the very least, let him try a few better lagers first.

Or brew him a Cream Ale with a touch of flaked maize in it.

Good idea, BM. For what it's worth, a lot of light lager recipes taste fantastic when brewed as ales. I brewed a pilsner clone with white labs wlp001 (california ale) at room temperature, and my lager-loving roommate said it was the best beer he ever had.

I know exactly what you mean... that's what I get from mine when I have something exciting to say that's brew related. In fact, that may be the only reason I troll this forum! Not really, I do find many threads useful but I do spend more time here than necessary.
