I stopped at the store on the way home and picked up a bunch of Bell's; Expedition Stout, Third Coast Old Ale, Consecrator Doppelbock and Two Hearted Ale. I also got a couple of Rogue Dead Guys, and a St. Bernardus Tripel.

I've dabbled in "better" beers before, but this should be a good introduction into styles I'm not too familiar with (Barley Wine, Imperial Stout, Doppelbock and Tripel). I figured since I'm getting into homebrewing, I'd better be familiar with all the styles so I don't continue to brew run of the mill (Pale Ale, Hefeweizen, Ordinary Bitter) beer.

A few friends and I are going to be tasting these tonight, and I'm scared for my friends that think Guinness and Old Speckled Hen are exotic beers. ;)

...an EXCELLENT selection; the Deads Guy and Two Hearted are probably the least scary of those. The Third Coast Old Ale is a good barley wine, but not over the top.
I haven't had the Doppelbock yet, so I can't comment on that, but watch out for the Expedition...it is sensory overload to the "virgin" palate!
