Got me a 48 qt cube from wally world. Anyone have pics on a manifold and how to build it ( not specifically for a cube)??? And what should I expect for efficiency the first couple batches??? $35 for 50lbs of 2 row a good price??? Also is the corona mill good to start with???..What do I do after I master this??? Whiskey?? LOL

I saw those cubes at WalMart. Good deal at 19.00 or whatever it was. I'd be interesed in the setup too. If you need a Corona Mill, let me know. I have one that was used once and I'd sell it at a steal. It was a gift from the wife, but I already had a Maltmill (she has no idea what I do in the garage)

I've got a manifold pic here:
http://www3.telus.net/sockmonkeysandbeer/beer/HowIBrew/howIbrew.html
It's just 7 tees, four plugs and some copper pipe. It can be taken apart as some of the joints are not soldered. Check out www.howtobrew.com for more detailed instructions.
I get around 75% efficiency with this system.

You want the easiest way to convert the cooler with the best results, go to:
http://hbd.org/cascade/dennybrew/
(oh, and rumor has it that the next edition of the home brewing "bible" Palmer's How To Brew will be advocating batch sparging, as well).

I've only used it once so far, but it did not get stuck. The braided line is about a foot long, it goes from one side of the cooler to the other. So far, so good!
