Tupper's Hop Pocket. With more hops added. Cripes!

Yikes! I voted for Tupper's in the battle of the beers. Bob and Ellie are good folks and I commend them for the recipe they came up with. Hop Pocket Ale is a fine beer.

OT but are either of you guys going to the Michael Jackson event at RFD next week?
I'll be there with a couple of friends. It's on Wednesday 24th.

Back on T: The Tuppers will also be there

I hadn't thought about it. What's the theme, other than MJ being there?

BTW have you noticed that MJ hasn't updated his website since last July?

Theme is Beers of the Mid-Atlantic.
Here is the quote from Dave Alexander's news letter:

"March 24th, one night only -
Michael Jackson and the Beers of the Mid Atlantic Region!

So far the guest brewmasters list looks a bit like this.

Bob Tupper will host, we'll serve his Keller Pils Cask Conditioned
Sam Calagione of Dogfish Head will pour his beer thru OUR Randal the Enamel Animal. Sam "launched" the soon to be famous Randal at the Lupulin Slam (which he won, YAY for our side!) This evening will feature the use of the first permanently installed Randal in D.A.'s back room.
Bill Madden, Cap City Shirlington, beer to be announced
Jerry Bailey himself will be here with his Oak Barrel Aged Stout
Mike Barker, Rock Bottom Ballston, beer to be announced
Nick Funnel from Sweetwater Tavern, beer to be announced
Bill Covaleski, Victory Brewing, with his St Victorious Dopplebock
Volker Stewart of Brewers Art can't make it because he's a new daddy! Congrats Volker and Mrs Volker! He is sending one of his brewers with a beer to be announced
Jim Wagner of DuClaw will bring his great beer Devil's Milk, Vintage 2002!
Tom Flores of Brewers Alley, beer to be announced
Jason Oliver of Gordon Biersch will bring his wonderful Kolsch

We've invited other GREAT brewers who haven't confirmed yet so hush we be. This is going to be a GREAT night! This event takes place at

D.A.'s RFD
810 7th St NW
Washington DC, 20001
Ticket price is $35. Those wishing to attend can call D.A.'s RFD at 202-289-2030 to reserve tickets. Doors open at 6, we try to start as close to 7 as possible."

etc etc.

BTW the Rock Bottom Arlington is going to be an imperial bourbon (barrel aged) stout. I had a wee glass of the same on Tuesday when I was over there for the Firefighter's Ale launch - good it was certainly.

I hadn't noticed the lack of updates to MJ's site but guess when you're out on the razz as much as MJ is his web-sites get a tad neglected.
