How many of this years competitors have you actually tried? Last year I had had most, but this year I only come in at 28! :(

And just to reply to my own thread, I didn't start the third category at 28 because I have had that many.

It just made the most sense to me mathematically.

I've only had 13. There are a lot more available around here...I just haven't gotten around to them.

Yes, some of them were indeed kegs. I have had 3 kegs of Brutal Bitter, one of Bridgeport IPA, one of Sierra Nevada Celebration, and one of Arrogant Bastard.

I currently have Bayhawk CPA on tap.

I counted the entrants I know for sure. There are a few that I'm, well...foggy on - so left 'em out. 29.

34 but there may be some more that I just cannot remember.

Living in a neo-prohibitionist state it is tough to get a lot of them here.

I've had 24. Can't get most of those Midwest and East Coast beers out here.

I think I had most of them at the GABF, CBC or Great Taste of the Midwest rather then through the local package store.

That's a good point. Unfortunately, I don't remember a lot of the beers I've had at the GABF. :D

Are you heading to San Diego for the CBC this year?

A big fat 0 - it sucks living in WVa (though I recently found a nice website where I can order some beer from :))

25 for me. I actually have had more than I thought I've had. Midwest brews are hard to come by in NJ. Not many choices here at all. The ones I have had are from travelling and festivals and travelling TO festivals!

Jeez...two here. Man...that sucks. I need to get to work on fixing that or yell at my local distributor, or both. :(

Well there goes my "East Coast" excuse! No, really, I think VA has better distribution channels than NJ!

I will have to make a point of trying to find them all. It gets tough as there are so many good beers that are regional.

OK, 3. I guess I've got some serious work to do to get ready for next year!! Oh, well, somebody has to do it, might as well be me.

I would have to agree. I'm at 11 of them. I have only seen maybe five others on the list at the store. I gotta start doing mail shopping.

Wow, I'm surprised at some of the lower numbers.
You people need to get drinking!

I've had 52 out of the 64. Last recently the Goose Island Blonde and Widmer Hefe since those were last summer since I had those. Most recently SN Celebration 2003 and Edmund Fitz.
And 26 out of the 32 that advanced I've had.

What can I say, I've been a busy beer geek:D

Cheers!

I came in right around 40. There's a couple good beer store in the Minneapolis area, plus I noted I've had quite a few of them as a result of trades with other members! Trading is such a great way to get beer from other areas of the country you normally would not have access to. To all who have traded with me over the past year, I raise my glass to you! Cheers!:D

Agreed on trading and I raise one back to you!

Without trading I'd go crazy!

28, so I feel better about my lack of beer consumption this past year. Moving from the far South side of Chicago to San Diego County helped a little. :)

This year you ought to try to get to GBBF.

Would love too, but dont see it happening. Probably the best it will get is the Texas Brewers Festival in May.... GABF again next year..........
