I'm not experienced at this tasting game, but I had to check in on this stuff; it is a French brew listed at 13% ABV!
Brewed in Brasserie Grain D'Orge, Ronchin, France
On the label - a devil-like creature with the caption: Biere "Pur Malt" la plus forte du monde
Pours a orangey copper color, small light head which disappears quickly amid an effervescent fizz.
Aroma is bready; with some yeast present, along with an alchohol vapor and a bit of spice.
The first taste assaults the tongue with an immediate sugary sweetness, followed by a strong spice flavor...nutmeg and cloves, with a bit of brandy...some banana perhaps. It has a definite alchohol burn on the way down (and keeps burning  )
As it warms, the spiciness begins to take over and leaves nothing else apparent in the flavor
Just a bit of bitter bite on the finish with a slight astringent quality.
It reminds me a bit of a Belgian ale that got way out of hand...I'm finding it hard to finish the 8oz bottle.
This is different to be sure, but not something I would buy again.
