On April 24th, at Triple Rock Brewery in Berkely, CA, the first annual Bay Area Firkin Gravity Festival, will take place. There will be 25 casks from around the Bay Area, plus a few surprise casks, all being poured by gravity. I would provide a link but, alas, there isn't one yet. I'll post more info. when I find things out, prices and the like. Should be a good time, I would imagine.

So what times are you planning on being there? I just want to know so I dont have to see you.

LOL

Seriously man. It was good to see you today. Thanks for everything. I am enjoying some of that mighty fine Stout as I type this.

I will make sure you get a keg of the nest thing to hit my kettle.

Cheers!

Yeah, I miss Twenty Tank, too. It was a great place to go. If, somehow, you can get up here for the firkin fest, we should get together for several pints.

i think i can i think i can i think i can!
the transmission line cracked inside the radiator in my car! screwing both the engine and the transmission up!
im sooo screwed ! but im gunna do most of the work myself except i'll have to take the car in to have the transmission rebuilt. but if i do everything else myself....im thinking i can save about $2,200 . and hopefully by april 24th i'll have everything squared away with some money left over and be ready to roll! "fingers crossed"

Well, Stodbrew and I went yesterday. A good time was had by all. I was even able to get some pro brewer treatment for hanging around Stodbrew (read free beer).

I didnt taste anything I didnt like, and I met some really cool people.

The beers I tasted were:

Beach Chalet- Park Chalet Amber
Bear Republic- Racer 5 IPA
Black Diamond- Stout
Coast Range- Maduro Porter
Drakes- IPA
English Ales- Triple B(best bitter)
Kelley Brothers- IPA
Lagunitas- Sirius (on oak)
Marin- Breakout Stout
Moylans- Tipperary Pale Ale
Seabright- Castle BEach ESB
Schooners- Pale Ale
Stoddards- Best Bitter
Thirsty Bear- Brown Bear
Third Street- Stout
21st Amendment- Batch 2000

There were a few that I just couldnt get to (for obvious reasons). All of these were very tasty.

Thanks again Stod! I had a great time!

Indeed, it was truly a great day. All of the beers that I had, and I tried as many as I could, were great. Not a bad beer in the bunch. It's great to see so many breweries turning out great cask conditioned ales. And it was great to see so many people turn out to drink and enjoy them, too. One pleasant surprise was trying the Sierra Nevada Porter on cask. Delicious. Glad to see them finally doing some casks.

Thanks, Tweek, for heading up there with me. Glad you had a great time, cuz so did I.
