I tried New Belgium's seasonal, Biere de Mars (Saison).
The Biere de Mars poured a cloudy yellow-orange with lots of tiny floating sediment. It had a fizzy, white head that quickly went to a thin layer. It has an earthy, fruity aroma of lemon and maybe coriander with some very slight hops. Its taste was sweet malt up front, with quite a bit of lemony citrus, some floral hints, and then a crisp finish. Overall, a nice refreshing, lighter beer.

I'm always tempted to buy it whenever I see it, but, for some reason, I never do. Perhaps now I'll give it a shot.

Go for it and let me know what you think! It definitely wasn't one of my favorites...I prefer bigger beers. But it was one of the better lighter beers I've had. I could definitely go for one of these after a hard days work.

New Belgium makes some pretty good stuff, solid line up of brews. The Triple, 1554 Brussels Black, and Frambozen Raspberry Brown, Fat Tire is OK, nothing I'd go out of my way for, especially if the !554 Brussels Black is available. Would love to try their Abbey Dubble, Grand Cru, and Transatlantique Kriek Lambic, as for the Biere de Mars - here are my notes:
New Belgium Biere de Mars:
Color is a cloud of peachy orange, kinda murky with lots of yeasty chunks floating around adding to the murk. Small dirty whitish head that fades to a thin ring and lace is fast dripping strings.
Smell barely has anything to it, just light notions of citrus and muskyness like a damp basement.
Taste is mild in tone, super dulled citrus of mango and old bananas and peaches. Malt laden chewyness and smoothness with touches of mild spice and a dryish finish lending sweet bread and honey.
Feel is smooth and lighter then medium in body with a nice finish thats quite subtle and complex in effects of its drying.
A nice drinker, smooth and mellow with a relaxing quality throughout.

I wrote up some notes for New Belgium's Abbey (Dubbel):
The Abbey poured an amber with red highlights. It had a fizzy light brown head that quickly went to a thin film.
Its aroma is a yeasty malt with bananas, cloves and a hint of alcohol.
It has a creamy, full mouthfeel. The taste is sweet malt up front with a strong, musty, banana flavor and a slight alcohol finish.
Overall, it's a nice, well-made beer. I really don't like bananas, so that brings it down for me (perhaps unfairly).

I got around to writing up some notes for the NB's Trippel:
The Trippel poured golden yellow. It had a good sized, fluffy, white head that displayed good retention and some lacing.
Its aroma was complex - spicy, yeasty, and earthy, with strong tones of corriander, flowery hops, and some hints of bananas.
The taste was some sweetness initially followed by spicy cloves, yeasty bitterness and some slight fruity notes. It was very smooth and medium bodied.
Overall, a very nice, complex, yet well balanced brew. It was very easy drinking - I didn't notice the alcohol at all.

And some notes for their Loft:
The Loft poured golden-copper. It had an ample, creamy, white head that lasted for the entire pint and left some lacing.
The aroma was lemony citrus.
It was medium bodied, and a little too bubbly. The taste was malt with some zingy citrus. It had a crisp, grassy, slightly bitter finish.
Overall, this was a very pleasing and refreshing beer. Definitely the best "lighter" beer I've had...a great summer drink!

I have to say that across the board, I am a big fan of New B's beers. Just as interesting as the beer is the company itself. You can find all of this on their website but here are the highlights:

New Belgium Brewing Company employees believe so strongly in the importance of having fun that it is included in the company's beliefs, and Kim Jordan is the Chairman Of Fun as well as the CEO.
New Belgium’s most signature benefit of employment is the gift of a fat tire cruiser bike to each employee after a year

I love it!
