I was just wondering something. I got to thinking about the process I used to sanatize everything on my first batch (three weeks ago). I used regular tap water and One-Step sanitizer to clean everything, letting everything airdry almost completely. I am aware that chlorine is not so good for the brew, and I'm sure very little water was left when I used aything. Could I have possibly contaminated my wort in doing such?

I seriously doubt it, but it may depend on your water. I know my city water supply has 0.65ppm chlorine average. You should be able to get an analysis of your water from your water department. As a reference, Papazian's recommendation for bleach as a sanitizer comes out to about 200ppm chlorine. I used to use C-brite but recently (last 3 or 4 batches) switched to Star-san and I love it. Don't have to rinse, don't have to let completely dry. Never any off flavors from it.
I can't say wether there is a possibility of it happening but I have used city water and one step and never had a problem. I just checked the city water report and it says we have 17 ppm of chloride, not sure if this is the same thing or not.
