I went over to a friends house yesterday for Beef and brew party. I was going to bring over some porter I had kegged a while ago that I had been drinking and filling growlers for friends with (To bad you dont live in Bend Oregon) and noticed it was extreamly light. I had figured I was down to the last gallon but it was way to light so I depressurized it and opened it to see what I had left.
About 1/4th of a gal left, Dang!
And no more home brew,
I got to the Brew fest with my beer and was told that the host had purchased plenty of "Good beer" for the party.
I had a glass of porter and enjoyed another with a nice juicy steak, realizing my porter had mabye a glass left I inquired about some of this good beer.
Now my idea about good beer and my friends are different slightly, He injoys a good stout as much as I but really
The "Good Beer" turned out to be 2 24-packs of Miller High life.
Now I must say I never have had miller high life until that day, MGD is not a bad beer, there are just alot of beers that are better.
Metalic, thin, wateryno nose, rough, and a nice head.
Never gonna work. I drained half my glass and in a strike of genius filled the rest with kegged porter.
Now I wont say it was great, it wasn't even good, It was better then the other options. Porter and yellow fizzy beer dont really complement each other at all.
I drank one more glass and when home.
I am now the official beer provider for the party next year atleast. Nothing but stouts, pale ale, and hefe will be served next year.
