How would you classify Boddingtons Pub Ale --(not Boddington's Bitter) - Do you think it's more of a cream ale, or is it something else all-together-different?

I'm having a heck of a time finding a recipe for Boddington's Pub Ale - in fact, I'm having a hard time determining what the "make-up" of Boddington's might be (so I could attempt to clone based on some other recipe) -

Ideas??

This page says that it is an attempt at a BPA clone, but doesn't say how successful it was:

thanks -

I looked in that book, - the one he refer's to, but it only lists Boddingtons Bitter.

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think the pub ale and the bitter are the same.

Do you happen to know?

I have only been exposed to the "Pub Ale" - which is also why I am having a hard time figuring out what style Boddingtons Pub Ale is..... and of course their website doens't say........

As not very good and a far cry from the wonderful Boddingtons brews of the past.

Compared to anything from A-B; SAB Miller and the like - wonderful. Compared to a good English beer - very ordinary.

BTW, where di you find the list of ingredients? There have been may postings on this board seeking such a list for other brews.
