my co-worker and i want to go out and play darts on thursday, but id prefer to find a place with good darts and good beer. anyone know of any good chicago dart haunts (steel darts, not the plastic stuff) that also has serviceable beer? office is around north and clybourn, so anything around there or the north side in general would work. cheers.

hahahahaha yes it does, but work is down near north and clybourn and my co-worker doesn't want to hang out in the "suburbs" i dont think, so we are looking for something closer by.

Evanston, suburbs, yeh - okey. ;)

Just figured it would be good stumblin' distance for ya!

I enjoyed their "Nevin's Live" side a few weeks ago when a friend's band was playing. I hadn't been in the pub in a while and found that it hasn't lost its charm.

Does Davis Street Fish Market still have a good beer selection? If you've ever been in there, that is.

hrmmm never thought of it as a place with good beer selection.

being a poor college kid for most of my time in Evanston I went only once, with my Mom, who ended up not liking her fish, so I never really explored it. What "good" beer did they used to have? I'm reading Garrett Oliver's Bremaster's Table right now and it would be fun to pair up some good fish with good beer.

Stealth beer bar - under the cover of an oyster bar!

Hmm, I've always had good meals there - their New England Clam Chowder is tops. AFA the beer, it's been almost 2 years since I was in there last (why I asked in the first place), but I just learned that the same company that ran Nevin's - up to a couple months back - also runs Davis Street. So yeah, they definitely have Guinness on tap, but they also had some beers that were uncommon for most restaurants - I believe SNPA was on tap for a while, Anchor Steam, a couple others.

Run over tonight and check for us! ;)
