Just got my New Brew Pot

Wow is this thing nice. Picked up the 24qt brew pot from Wiliams Brewing last week and was delivered last night. Pricey but a nice piece.

Question. I plan of giving it a cleaning before using it this weekend. Any general tips or suggestions I should be aware of with cleaning? Use PBW? Sanitize it...Although being that it will be boiling wort, I would think it would not be necessary.

yeah just give it a cleaning with your pbw or whatever cleaning agent you use. no need to sanitize your brew pot. If it has a spigot on it, I usually try to let some cleaning solution run through it and then some clean water, and I will usually let a bit of boiling water run through it occasionally as well.

I just got my new brew pot today too :) I remembered that my grandpa gave me a $50 gift card to basspro, so I went online and found a 30 qt turkey fryer pot. Only cost 10 dollars of my own money. Going to try it out tomorrow night if my ingredients get here.

Thanks Toney. My wife took that picture...afterwards she just looked at me and said..."you're obsessed." She still looks at me like I'm crazy when I greet my carboy in the mornings with a cheerful, "HI BEER!" :)
