Being a hardcore hophead it feels strange starting a thread like this but, I wanted some thoughts on the maltiest beers or favorite malty beers. Paulaner Salvator is probably one of the maltiest that I've had. Howver, for a good, everyday, malt accented beer, I really enjoy Bell's Amber.

Staying in the Bell's family, the Best Brown has great malt depth.

All of the Munich Doppelbocks pack that great malty punch, but don't forget Samichlaus. The Munich Dunkels have great maltiness without the high alcohol punch, as does the Samuel Smith's mild that I got to sample in London - that was a surprising beer.
I also love the high malt balance to the high hops in Sierra Nevada's Celebration Ale, as well as their Big Foot.
I can remember the first time I tasted Samual Adams Tripple Bock - not exactly my favorite, but interesting in its malt character.
Anyone remember Kulmbacher's Ice Bock? The original Ice Bock? I still have a few bottles from the last brewed batch stashed in a cool dark place. There was some malt!

Spaten Optimator has a great malt flavor. Corsendonk Brown Ale is wonderful if you are looking for great malt character in your beer. Old Peculier has a very unique malt taste. And Mackeson Triple stout has a relatively low hop flavor for a stout.
