Beer and Food pairrings

What are some of your favorite beer and food pairrings? Here are a few I enjoy: Chineese= Pale Ale, Roast Pork= Wheat Beer, cheese cake= Lindemans Framboise Lambic.

Fred Eckhardt promotes food and beer pairings quite a bit, including deserts of chocolate and properly paired beer. Before I'd ever read Fred I discovered how good Oreo cookies and Guinness Extra Stout tasted together -- honest to gosh! Give it a try!

You need to have the packaged Oreos from the grocery store, the little vending machine packages or the Gas Station/Express Mart packages taste different. And you have to have the hearty Extra Stout - the original bottled Guinness that's richer and more robust than the Guinness Draft.
