I brewed my Conniston Bluebird Bitter clone today----everything mercifully went without a hitch. However, the recipe stated that my OG should be @ 1.044. It was 1.055!! So, I guess I have an ESB now, but that's cool. (I guess it also means my system is more efficient than I think it is)
So far, I am very impressed with the V-vessel's capacity. It doesn't look like it'll hold a 5 gallon batch + a decent amount of headspace, but I think all will be well. As of @ 2 hours ago, I could see all the break material has settled into the cone. Now that I have a new piece of equipment, I'm all paranoid and sceered again......the woes of a homebrewer with a new toy!!!
