I just brewed a 10 gallon batch with cost in mind just to see how inexpensively I could make it. I bought my grain in bulk(except for the specialty grains), recultured yeast from 2 previous batches, and ordered hops from Freshops. Here are the tallies:

15 lbs Munton @ .69 per pound = 10.36
4 oz Fuggles, 1 oz Goldings @ .63 per ounce = 3.15
1 lb flaked maize = 1.39
1 lb crystal = 1.39
1.8 oz chocolate malt = .16

total = 16.45 divided by 100 bottles = 17 cents per bottle(rounded up)

Life Is good!

What about cleaning and sanitizing stuff, DME for starters, propane or electricity, mailing costs, sugar for priming....
You may be closer to 18 cents per bottle ;)
