online or off, what publications do you all read dealing with beer? im not a big homebrewer right now so i probably wouldnt be interested in homebrew related stuff, but things dealing with business, tastes, or anything else would all be interesting.

I like Ale Street News and Mid-Atlantic Brewing News (Great Lakes Brewing News by you) for fairly up-to-date news and rumours in my area.
I've been thinking about subscribing to All About Beer since I got a couple of free issues at a recent brewfest and liked them a lot.
On Line I have a bunch of places I check, but mostly here, beeradvocate.com, lewbryson.com and pubcrawler.com.

You might also check out Celebrator magazine and while you are not a big time homebrewer Brew Your Own (BYO) and Zymurgy are excellent primers for anyone who want's more information on beer.

I second the Celebrator. It's based in the SF Bay Area, but it covers the entire USA, Canada and often times internationally. It has tasting notes, lists of breweries, and great articles on almost every facet of brewing and tasting. A great brewspaper.

I like to read Northwest Brewing News. It covers the region from No. Cal to Alaska. Good articles and once in a while a good recipe to try.

The Michigan Beer Guide (also has a website at www.michiganbeerguide.com). It's a fine publication, going over the beer happenings in my state. It comes out every other month.

Have you ever had bad luck getting timely issues of this? I like the mag but seems like it is kind of sporadic.
I do read most of the other publications mentioned above as well as some collector periodicals from some breweriana clubs that I am in.

Chaz-
Yes, it does seem to come randomly. I usually forget about it and then, poof!, one it shows up and I think to myself, oh, yeah, I forgot about this!:D

Guess I'll ask here... Is the last issue of BYO still the Milk Stout one. I got a subscription to it for christmas and am waiting for my first issue. Courious if a new one has come out yet that I have to buy before I start getting them in the mail.

I think so. It was really good but sporadic back when Bill Owens owned it. It is geared to the industry but there is plenty of good info for laypersons such as myself.
