Has or Dos anyone have anything setup to sort of automate the Transfering of the Wort to one container to the Next . Something like a Closed Pumping system that can pump the Wort to a fermentor , and then to a secondary carboy without opening covers Pouring Wort , Syphoning beer to second fermentor . It seems there has to be a better way . Thanks John

you could ferment in cornys, and use co2 to move from primary to secondary.... For a primary fermenter I'd probably cut off a couple of inches of my dip tube. The post fittings are the same thread as compression fittings, so you could fashion an adapter to a fermentation lock pretty easily with a trip to your local hardware store.....

I went out last night and picked up my second conical fermentor...
No transfers, the wort never leaves the container, if you're careful, it's never exposed to oxygen, and you bottle straight out of the fermentor.
A little more expensive, but not prohibitively. And I think (obviuosly) that the simplicity and peace of mind is well worth it.
I now have 2 of the "affordable" conical fermentors. They are also designed to fit into a standard refrigerator.

Thanks for the reply's . I 've seen a few of those conical fermentors , and they look great. I also saw a Pump at MovingBrews.com to pump it through my Counterflow Chiller . If I can get this Flowing From the pot through the Chiller and to the conical fermentor. I 'll be a happy brewer :) Thanks everyone for the input .

I'd be a little concerned about this site. They have a message dated no orders after Dec 26 2001 ??????? Are they active?

There are actually quite a few sites like that, they put those messages up for christmas and never update thier sites afterward.
I was ordering some beer glasses from Arrogant Bastard Brewery in So.Cal and I got the same message on thier site....

Moving Brews shut down some time ago....
If you want to buy a pump, you have several options... I've been researching a 3 tier all grain setup, including (at least one) pump, B3 (http://www.morebeer.com) has them, with Polysulfone (high temp) housings for a decent price...
