So far I have met only one of our illustrious posters in person and that was Richard English. I enjoyed that session of the GBBF very much. I live near Theakson and Meridian so I imagine well all share a pint sometime. Any others from this board meet up? I think Hopjack and Fidcastro did.

I would like to thank St. Patrick for his kind words and bounce some of them back to him. We did indeed have a nice conversation over a couple of brews. I also had the opportuinty to meet his Holloywood looking wonderful wife. They are nice people.
I would not be surprised to find all of the members and their spouses, girlfriends, significant others to be charming people.
It must be something in the beer.

Tweek and his wife and I have met up a couple of times. They only live about 10-15 minutes away. Both are great people and I've had a great time talking and drinking good beer with them.

I met up with Kalleh and her husband at my favorite good beer bar just before the holidays, and Bluesharp and I have passed like ships in the night - but we'll meet over a good beer sooner or later!
Also, let's hope a few of us are able to hook up at some of the festivals coming up, such as the Real Ale Fest.
S.
PS - I'm in work today, but plan on heading over to The Firkin in Libertyville, IL mid-afternoon to see what's new on tap - if anyone is local...

I've been over at Fast_Eddy's house a couple of times. He graciously let me sit in on one of his brew sessions which put me on the all-grain path.
BYO's Chris Colby lives here in Bastrop and participates in the local homebrew club, the Austin Zealots. I was supposed to go over to his place last weekend to help with a multi-brew session, but I got sidetracked.
:)

If any of you guys are ever in the Syracuse area, give me a hollar I'd love to toss back a few pints with ya!
Oh, I've also been workin' on a little website for family and friends, wanted to know what you guys thought -- not much of a webmaster but I have fun. I am also Saint Patrick on that forum as well. Feel free to stop by and say hello ...

I'd love to meet up with fellow brewers, but I live in Augusta, Georgia and I don't think anybody lives remotely near me.

Yep, We just got hit with about 5 inches of the white stuff. And now they are predicting freezing rain and posibly more snow. One thing that makes our already bad traffic situation MUCH worse is snow. We are not accustomed to driving in it.

Any one who lives in Alaska give me shout. I would enjoy it. Any one who wants to come to Alaska give me a shout. I have become a small source of information for places to visit and would welcome sharing all I know.

I lived in Aiken, SC from 1977-1985, my mother is still there. I was just down for the holidays and spent some time over in DisGusta (sorry can't resist). Next time I'm down I'll give you a hollar.
BTW thank God for the Aiken Brewing Co., it makes the trip bareable.

MeridianFC - Yeah, if you are ever back down this way look me up. I've only been in Augusta since 1998 myself.
Brewerdlux - Yeah, I didn't get to augusta until about 6 years ago. There still isn't much too choose from around here. We had KING GEORGE British style microbrewery, and OLDENBURG german style pub for the first 2 years I was here. They mysteriously closed down in 2000 at the same time... something to do with new tax laws that put them under.
I grew up in Atlanta, but was too young to appreciate any of the breweries there.
