The woman who writes the Beer Bitch column in one of the beer periodicals that I read did the same thing once. The woman that writes the column makes sense as compared to this one. She judges men by what style of beer they order. I wish I still had the copy as it was quite good.

"Corona is made with malt and not yeast" ???? Yeah, she's a keeper!
"A shandy will treat you well and he's more spontaneus and romantic than your average." I take it that means he won't be into you if your a girl.:D
Just some rambling thoughts...

Hah hah hah - judging a man by the beer he drinks, and she's looking at men who aren't even drinking good beer! She needs to move to another pub!
"They don't piss around with middies and half pints - after eight hours of work, they want a pint."
You mean there's men out there who don't? No friends of mine. ;)

Hmmm,
So because I have pretty much one of every style of beer you can think of in my basement and enjoy them all equally, including a Corona clone (I used yeast, did I do something wrong?) a Pilsener, many steps between light and dark beers and even the Arrogant Bastard Clone.....
Does that just make me complicated?
The author of that rambling Jane Fonda/Alanis Morrisette/Cosmopolitan wannabe pseudo article really, really, REALLY needs to do a bit more homework before writing anything else about beer.
Did she actually insinuate that she works in a bar? (Doing what?, 'cause is sure as hell has nothing to do with the drinks)
Maybe she was just hoping that the only people that read it would be other people that know even less about beer than she, and would be really impressed.??
By the way....Heineken SUCKS! It's one of the nastiest beers I have ever tasted.
I put it right up (down?) there with Keystone.
Maybe that's why she's having such a hard time finding a decent guy? She has no idea what she's talking about, thus, no idea what she's looking for??

Obviously a woman who doesn't pay much attention to details.
alright, you're writing an article comparing dating to beer. You use big names so most people understand your comparisons. But the yeast vs. malt thing!??! gimme a break!

No Paul. It makes you complex and mysterious.
Now: Did she say she worked in a bar?
Or: Did she say she worked a bar?

The sad and obvious truth is that she's probably heard some of the "buzzwords" of brewing and is just throwing them around to make herself look smarter. Managers do it at my work all the time....
Unfortunately, if someone that actually knows what they're talking about hears even the tiniest portion of the crap coming out of your mouth...you are classified as a moron for pretty much time and all eternity....

OldSkool, I think we WERE being nice!! I know I was!
S.F.B., I was actually thinking that it just makes me a good candidate for Ritalin, or whatever the current treatment for ADD is...
I looked back over the...Uh...article (for lack of a better term), and she actually says that she has a friend that works in a bar.
Which is like me attempting to write a paper bashing female brain surgeons, based on the fact that I have a friend who knows one.

First does any one know the magazine this article was written for. Or better yet the E-mail of this....person. We should write to her and express our concerns for her ablility to reseach of a topic for publication. Also did she give the article to her bar tending ally to read over. If she did neither needs to be pulling taps. Even in the AB brewery tours.
She is "Not the brightest bulb on the christmas tree." my contrabution.

She would probably make more sense around closing time.
