I have started a new site that is devoted to the free exchange of homebrewing information.

There are no membership costs, no banners, no pop-ups, and no-one trying to sell anything of any kind...ever.

Currently there is a messageboard and photoposting features(for homebrew labels, information, and jackassery). In the near future, I will be adding a recipe calculator, brew day blog, and other cool features.

Stop by! Help us all be better brewers, and help me provide you with a better online tool for information exchange!

Yeah, what he said!

Really, I'm looking forward to the development of brewcommune.com (http://www.brewcommune.com). It recently went up and new features are in the making.

Features in the making:

Recipe Script
The guy leading the project, "Comrade," is a great friend of mine and is currently cranking out the code for the script. In the end, we will have a dynamic database for recipe formulation. You'll be able enter in your recipe as well as values for extraction potential, anticipated gravity, alpha acid, and SRM. Your recipe will be posted in your honor with all the technical details.

Various Online Calculators
The most recent calculator Comrade developed was the Hydrometer Correction table which I now use on a regular basis. All the other standard calculators are in the making.

Image Gallery
I started posting my beer labels in the gallery here. This is where you can share photos of brew equipment, labels, brew days, and random drunkeness!

Most importantly, its a fun group of guys who really love their hobby and love to chat about their adventures.

Join us and participate! brewcommune.com (http://www.brewcommune.com)

This just out!

New features have been added to the online homebrew community (http://www.brewcommune.com)! Also, many of the existing features have been used quite extensively!

The brewcommune front page (http://www.brewcommune.com) contains a news feed from this site, realbeer, a summary of up coming events, and a summary of current messageboard topics. The brewcommune front page (http://www.brewcommune.com) is the place to go for online homebrewing info!

The messageboard (http://www.brewcommune.com/phpBB)
has been seeing a lot of traffic, with great conversations about beer styles, brewing beer, tasting beer, music, events, etc...

The photo gallery (http://www.brewcommune.com/coppermine) has seen a lot of use and includes lots of great brewing photos.

The homebrew calendar (http://www.brewcommune.com/phpical) has numerous events scheduled with new events added all the time. Our calendar uses icalendar protocols, so you can subscribe (webcal://www.brewcommune.com/phpical/calendars//Comrade.ics) and have homebrew events automatically added to your PDA calendar.

Just added! the Brew log (http://www.brewcommune.com/phpBB/weblogs.php)! Tell the world all about your brew day, allow everyone to comment on your brew day, offer suggestions, add pictures, ect. This is a very feature rich tool that I am very excited about.

It is absolutely free to join BrewCommune. We have no banners, or advertisements of any kind. I am a homebrewer who wants to build a great online brewing community without commerical influence! Stop by!
