Does Sierra Nevada Stout taste like how a homebrew stout should???

You can make a homebrewed stout which tastes like Sierra Nevada Stout, or you can make it taste like a different stout entirely. It's up to you. If you want to a clone recipe, then you can find one here (http://bigbangrpg.8m.com/cdsbg/beer/Sierra_Nevada_Stout_Clone.html).
Hope this is useful...

Well, three of the Sierra Stouts are done...nice beer!!!..I would like a little more bitterness, but overall very nice....Very similiar to my brews....mine get a lot more head (nothing wrong with a little head)...sometimes to the point of having to pour very slowly...any one have an idea why????....Thanx for the clone....know of any mostly extract clones????

I like Sierra Nevada Stout, but think that it runs on the sweet side of the style.
I have made several stouts and think my personal favorite is a plain and simple dry Irish stout.....gooooddd stuff!!!!

I've had that happen a couple of times. Both times I bottled too soon.

sounds over carbonated. either let it age a little longer in the carboy to make sure fermentation is done, or reduce the amount of priming sugar you use to bottle.
