Alternative Use For Wyeast 3056

I was going to brew a wheat recipe using 3056 but have changed my mind. Now I have this 3056XL pak sitting in the fridge and was wondering what would happen if I used it in a std ale or stout recipe.

Give it a try. You could make a Dunkelweizen or Weizenbock or invent your own style. I tried 3056 in a hefe, and wasn't impressed. The flavor is more sour and tart than I expected.
