I have read about them but i am not able to find a good recipe. Anyone have one?

5 Gal batch
10 lbs 6 row
3 lbs flaked maize
2 oz Mt. Hood 60mins
2 oz Mt. Hood 15mins
1 oz Mt. Hood 0 mins
Wyeast 2035 American Lager Yeast
Step infusion 121/148/154F

Or you could use Corn meal and do a cereal mash.
I did a cereal mash using corn meal and amylase enzyme. It was kinda a CAP recipe without the lager yeast. It came out nice after i changed it up a few times.

You don't want to use corn meal because the oily "germ" is still there. You want to use corn GRITS instead.

Corn grits will be a completely different flavor than corn meal. I have used corn meal and a lot of others have as well. i hav'nt had a problem with it. heres a video from Basic Brewing Videos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilK0MqjLEQw
they did a cereal mash using organic corn meal.

Any suggestions for a partial grain recipe? I have never attempted allgrain and dont have all the equipment yet.

I posted this one the other day. I'll be using locally grown fresh cluster hops. I'm really looking forward to this one.

6 Gold LME
2 Flaked Maze
2 Pale Malt, 6 Row, US
.75 Caramel 120
.5 Chocolate Rye
.5 Biscuit

1.25 Cluster 60
1 Cluster 20
1 Cluster 1

Pitch .25 tsp crushed peppercorns at 5

Belgian Saison Yeast

ABV 8%
IBU 30
SRM 24

You could do something like this.

Pre Prohibition Lager
Classic American Pilsner


Type: Partial Mash
Batch Size: 5.00 gal
Boil Size: 7.00 gal Asst Brewer:

No matter what type of corn you use you will need to add enzymes to the mash for conversion. AKA 6-row or amylase.
