This weekend is the annual Minnesota Craft Brewers Winterfest (http://www.mncraftbrew.org/page5.html) in Saint Paul. This will be the first year I've been able to attend, but in talking with some people who have gone in past years, it's a very good event. Local brewers and brewpubs from Minnesota, Wisconsin, etc. come and let you sample their best winter beers. Last year the commemorative glass was a small brandy snifter and I know there were several strong winter type beers like bourbon barrell aged stouts, barleywines and dopplebocks (technically a spring beer, I know). Unlimited samples with live jazz music as well. They limit the number of tickets sold to 200, so it shouldn't be too crowded either. I'll try and take some good notes and give a review. I'm really looking forward to it. Anyone else in the area plan on attending?
