After weeks of wet and humid weather, Miami was blessed with clear skies and chilly temperatures on Friday, November 5th, 2010 for the first What Miami Brickell Pub Crawl, a new local event promoting the growing pub culture of downtown Miami.
The event exceeded all organizers' expectations as it brought out a crowd of over 250 locals throughout the night to four different venues that each offered a variety of food & drink specials, contests, and games. Participants used silly “My Name Is” stickers and armed themselves with neon orange wristbands that provided them with all the benefits of the pub crawl.
The What Miami Brickell Pub Crawl began the evening at Gordon Biersch Brewery on Brickell Avenue where people gathered after work to enjoy drink specials. The excitement kept up as the pub crawl marched on its way to nearby Brickell Irish Pub and then on to Burger & Beer Joint at Mary Brickell Village; where participants took over the establishment as waiters scrambled to keep up with the crowd.
The night ended on a great note at Waxy’s on the River. The Brickell Pub Crawlers were treated to a relaxing view of downtown Miami and the Miami River as they sipped on Guinness and munched on flatbreads to keep warm.
