I just finished bottling my fifth brew. This was a bock in which I steeped (I guess that is what it is called) grains then added DME and hops. Started with OG of 1.069 and FG of 1.015. I am drinking the last bit from bottling bucket that would not fill a bottle.
I bought bottle tree and switched to iodore to sanitize bottles. That little investment sure beats the soaking and rinsing and trying to store bottles "clean" until bottling time that I was doing with bleach.
I know, I need to go to kegging and life will be much easier, but until I get to that stage, this was big improvement over way I bottled other four batches.
Tasted pretty darn good too, if I can say so myself.
Hail to the beer gods!!!!

Nothing quite like a kitchen counter full of freshly capped bottles...I recently purchased 2 cases of BLUE swing top bottles (33 oz) Sheeit, talk about bottling ease. 20 minutes. Still have nightmares about bottling 5 cases of 12 OZ "snifters". Now, a couple of weeks to carbonate at room temp, two more weeks in the fridge, and you can really admire your art.

I had a case of 22 oz and several 32 oz bottles, but I guess I gave them away during Christmas and never got them back. Sure makes a difference having to do all 12 oz bottles.
It would be great to do all 33 oz swing-tops.

Yeah, I'm kinda strict about getting my swing tops back from people. I don't really give any out as presents or ship any out to anyone yet so not losing then is still kinda easy for me. Still can't wait till the fridge is tapped so I don't have to bottle anymore!

Yeh, got these beautiful 33 oz BLue bottles with swingtops ( I hear they are from France) Good presentation for sure for your best work...Queer thing is,tho they carbonate well, the top is plastic rather than ceramic. At first this bothered me, but then realized they would be harder to break....lemme know if you want the address for the supplier....

Just be careful putting those plastic pieces in the dishwasher. I have started taking off that piece when putting the bottles in the dishwasher and washing them separately by hand.
