Fresh from the World Beer Festival of Durham, we have another special beer event, the World Cask Ale Benefit (an expansion of the Three Boys and Beer Benefit), to raise money for Durham Central Park. Breweries from across the state are contributing special casks of ale, and All About Beer Magazine will be providing the tapping and dispensing equipment to create an elevated beer experience - the freshest beer served in a traditional fashion.
The event is Saturday, October 23 at the Trotter Building, 410 W. Geer St., from 6:30 - 11:00 PM. Light food is being provided initially by Back Door Pizza, then Only Burger and the Korean Taco Truck will be on-site for additional food purchase.
"We are really excited to present a top drawer event featuring a rebounding trend in the beer world," said Daniel Bradford, publisher of All About Beer Magazine. "Both the park and ale reflect the local, handcrafted, neighborhood, tavern culture that has been central to this event as it has evolved over the years."
Tickets are just $40 and include unlimited samples, a souvenir glass, and food. Tickets are being sold online at Etix.com - once there, search by events for World Cask Ale. This is going to be THE EVENT for the weekend, so tell all your friends. All the proceeds go to Durham Central Park.
