BERLIN (Reuters) - A German brewery has developed a beer containing vitamins and minerals it says are designed to slow the ageing process.

The Neuzeller Kloster Brewery plans to introduce its "Anti-Aging-Bier" this year and sell it in grocery and drug stores, a spokesman for the company said on Friday.

"It tastes like beer more than it tastes like anything else," the spokesman told Reuters.

The brewery said the beer contained a host of added ingredients that promote good health. But the German government may object to the brewery calling the drink "beer" since a law dating back to 1516 says beer brewed in Germany can only be made from barley, hops, wheat and water.

Sign me up for a few cases!

Of course, I don't know if I like the sound of, "It tastes like beer more than it tastes like anything else." What does that imply..?

PS - I also love the news media - here's a story from Berlin in Northern Germany, and of course they drop in a picture of an obviously Bavarian (Southern Germany) Fraulein quaffing a Munich beer. :/

Clues? Eidelweisse jewelry, dirndle costume (traditionally Bavarian, not Northern) and the BIG H-P logo! Damn that looks good. Yes, and yes.

WHY??!?!?!!
We are all going to die anyways. Why do we need to die looking young? Sorry for being cynical, but I'm just bored with the overflow of everything "anti-age"

Here, Here!

I guess I am a complete moron, the whole time I'm thinking the "anti ageing" is for the beer; so the BEER wont age (i.e. is fresher longer). geez I need a beer BAD!, nah better make that several.

Haven't read the story yet... am about to. I, too, thought that this was to preserve the life of the beer for another 6 months to a year or something like that! Just goes to show you, gentlemen... the woman's POV is the yin to our yang; the omega to our alpha, and the hops to our malt.... ok, I'll stop.
