Good morning,
Just a reminder that tonight is another "30th on 30th". We'll be serving up $3 pints of Green Flash 30th St. Pale (duh...) and the $2 dog deal beginning at six o'clock. As it's the first "30th" to happen in a summer month, it should be a good one. We'll see you here.
Our friend Bill Batten from AleSmith dropped off a cask of Summer Yulesmith yesterday; the draft was delicious, and went fast... We're anxious to try the cask version. We'll be tapping it Thursday at 5pm, so come check it out. And speaking of casks, as of this morning we still have some Duet left from yesterday. It was/ is awesome... If you didn't get any yesterday, come by and grab one. We've been flying through Alpine beer of late. We're glad you're enjoying it. After I hit send on this email, I'm driving up to pick up some more Nelson, Pure Hoppiness and Toronado (McIlhenney's) Red ale, so we'll have more fresh Alpine beer on this afternoon to go along with the Captain (oatmeal) Stout and the easy drinkin' Mandarin Nectar. One last Alpine note: it looks like the pub is a go! After many hoops and hurdles, and with a final health inspection on July 19th (?) Pat, Val, Shawn and the crew will be up and running sometime in the second half of July, so great news. We'll keep you posted here on any news as we get it.
And lastly, a good way to keep up with the San Diego (and beyond) beer scene is by checking Brewery Rowe, the beer blog put out by Union- Tribune staff writer Peter Rowe. Peter, in addition to being a really nice guy, is and has been an avid supporter of the San Diego beer scene for a long time. Peter brings a sort of Everyman's perspective to the world of beer, a world that can at times take it self a bit... well, seriously. As an example, if I hadn't checked it today, I wouldn't have learned about Mustardgate.

Shocking stuff. We're gathering up all our mustard, we suggest you do the same.
So, to recap: 30th on 30th, great cask beer, fresh Alpine beer, and Brewery Rowe.
