AAAAHH!!! Washington. Home of the famed Redhook, BlackHook and WinterHook.
Nice to drink ya, To Drink ya nice.
With the popularity of Redhook brews and the Trolleyman Pub now closed, you would think they would have made the Forecasters Pub larger. Unless you get there early, you can plan on standing a long time. A few Blackhook Nitro's and I guess it doesn't matter though.
Blackhook, Winterhook and ESB are all on my favorites list!

It's best to branch out - Hale's in Fremont, Maritime in Ballard, Big Time in the U District, Elysian in Capitol Hill, all great places with lots of great beers. :)
Anyone out there been to Port Halling over in Gresham lately? My buddies and I are on a mission to identify our favorite local Winter beer and PH is on our list for next weekend. If you've tried their holiday seasonal, let us know what you think.
Beer. It's not just for breakfast anymore.

Elliot Bay brewing company over in West Seattle isn't too bad, either.
Too bad about the Stumbling Monk's conversion to a mediocre beer bar. I just moved here, so I never got to check them out in their former incarnation as a beer store.
Anyone know anywhere for good German food and German beer in or near Seattle? Leavenworth's a little far... the People's Pub in Ballard is ok on both counts, but I'm looking for something a little more exceptional.

I was saddened to learn of this too. Has to be one of my favorite names for an establishment.

Have you gone to Bottleworks yet? http://www.bottleworks.com/
Its an awesome place. I was never in the Stumbling Monk before it changed either. Too bad. BUT, we still have Bottleworks... heh! ;-)
