Has anyone ordered hops from these guys? I ordered some last night. Do you use the whole hops the same way as with the pellets? With shipping, it averaged 97 cents an ounce. They also sell the rhizomes that allow you to grow your own hops. Can't wait until spring. Life is good.

As far as ordered from, no. With regard to your use question, yes. It is my understanding that it is a 1 for 1 switch.

Yes, it's a 1 to 1 switch, but I hope you have a REALLY big brewpot! ;)
I seem to recall that fresh hops take up a LOT more space than the pellets.

This might be true. I have never used pellets so I don't know if this makes that much of a difference. I brew in a 32 quart pot and have added up to 6.5oz. of fresh without trouble. They seem to absorb a lot of liquid.

32 quarts is 8 gallons, right? Right... I remember making a barleywine in a 4 gal. pot using fresh hops. The MESS.......

Just got my delivery. 4 oz Fuggles, 2 oz Saaz, 2 oz Goldings, 2 oz Cascade, 2 oz Chinook. Now I have to formulate some recipes. I also just bought a 55# bag of Muntons 2 row. Looks like I'm set for a while.
