Has anyone ever tried to connect a paintball CO2 canister to the regulator of a draft system? I tried the connection and it threads into the regulator. I was just thinking that if my tank ever ran out, I'd have a mini tank to use to dispense a few more brews until I can fill my 10 lb tank. The canister I have is 9oz. Anyone see any problems with this?

Thanks Eelpout. I have a few questions though. My paintball cylinder screws directly into the regulator. Why would I need all of those connectors and need to take apart my regulator? And everything I've read so far until now says not to use teflon tape with these gas connections.
I believe paintball tanks have a dip tube built into the valve. So you may want to look into it further. My understanding they use co2 as a liquid not a gas. Been wrong before and maybe again.

Ah... yes you are correct. It does have a valve that gets pressed in on the tank and a nub on the gun. Kinda like the posts and the poppets on the kegs. I think I may still persue this unless of course it costs more than a second 5 lb. tank. Thanks to both of you!
