Well kinda, got your attention though. So for christmas my girls cousin got me a Mr. Beer machine. He only knew that i love beer and not that I already make my own. Mr. Beer is what got me involved in brewing so I know what kinda crap it makes. So wanting to get creative, I have great plans for it I think. Using it to cask condition a part of some batchs. I figured change the spigot and grasket the lid and it should work. Oh yeah, and watch the pressure, I'm sure they can can only handle a few PSI but thats all I need. So what do ya think, pros and con would be great!!!

If you already brew and have no intention of using it in the manor it was intended for I say dont waste your time on trying to convert it. Go ahead and put it back in the box and stash it on the shelf somewhere. One of these days a boddy you ahve been wanting to get into brewing will have a birthday or something, and you will have already gotten him a gift! or something along those lines. :)

Well I'm not only planning on making a 2 gallon batch. Just splitting a batch. Figured after primary, use the Mr Beer keg to cask condition part and the rest can go into a keg to serve as usual. As I have posted on here before, I have a problem with not having any buddies that respect real ale so all they want to do is slam um down. That's a waste to me. Can't really handle 5 gallons in a few days by myself so if I want to try cask conditioning it should be only a gallon or two. Other wise that would be quite alot of wasted beer and none of us want that. Figured put a better spigot on and seal the top and i have a mini cask. When its ready, all I have to do is loosen the top and serve. It's not doing me any good taking up space so might as well put it to use. If someone wants to learn to brew, I will teach them how to make good tasting beer, that stuff was just bad!

And I'm not planning on using the supplied ingredients for this, just it's keg thing!!
