I'm well into 2004 and it feels good -- wow, I can remember reading about Halley's comet coming back in 1986 and thinking it was so far in the future!
Best wishes to everyone in this new year!
I did take a break for chamagne before, but now I toast you all with a Harpoon UFO!

I graduated high school in 1976. Also discovered the Brickskeller in 76 and my world was changed forever. That is the place where my serious quest for beer began

I was in 8th grade in 1982 and was already an avid beer can collector. (Much to the delight of my mom!) That year my parents sent me and one of my brothers out to stay with my other brother for a week who lived in D.C. I remember going to the Brickskeller and being floored by the choices of beer. Of course, being to young to drink, all I was interested in was the cans. So of course, I made my two brothers and sister in law drink some god awful beers that night, so I could get the cans. Every once and a while they remind me of that when I offer them one of my homebrews.... :p
