I got a digital camera for Christmas, so I thought I'd share pics of my kegerator. (My Present to Myself)

I'll guess that it's full of a dish soap and water mixture for detecting leaks in the gas lines.

Actually, it originally was soap/water that I used to check my gas lines. But now It is just some cheap 80 proof vodka that I spray on my beer tap bevel once in a while to keep it from sticking (the dark beer I've got in there is pretty sticky when it dries).

Nice set-up. I just bottled my fourth batch and am thinking I really NEED to move to kegging.
I have one question. Does the tray that is under the tap have a drain line or do you just wipe it clean as needed?

I agree, that is a really sweet setup you have there. Nothing like good old American ingenuity to make something work for you.

hey fuji, very nice setup... looks like mine, but I haven't added a drip tray, that's my next project... (you can see in the second pic where I added some clips to keep the collar from sliding around, and also some weatherstripping. that could use some improvement, but it's in my garage, and I'm of the opinion that not having perfect insulation at the top of a converted chest freezer isn't that big of a deal...)

hey moderators, any special reason we can't post pics directly into the threads? Would you please consider turning the IMG code on ???

I just soak/clean it as needed. It is attached to the freezer with several adhesive magnetic strips, so it is easily removed for cleaning.
Thanks to all who commented :) I'm proud of my little system.

Wow! Very Nice Danno!
One day when I have a house, I hope to upgrade my freezer to a size like that one.
I like the idea of attaching the gas lines/valves to the lid to keep them from lying about in the freezer.

What size is that freezer?

Probably out of respect for people that still use dial-ups....if it's a big enough deal I can request them to be turned on for a while...anybody feel like it should be turned on?

It's only a 7.2 Cubic Feet. Just enough room for 2 kegs, 15 bottles (12 oz), and a small insert tray where I keep my hops in tupperware containers. I couldn't fit a bigger one in the apartment, so it's a little bit of a pain to lager. I have to take one of the kegs out if I want to brew a lager :\
Maybe I'll upgrade oneday when I get a house.

as far as the pic code getting turned on would be fine with me, but I think the dial up point is a good one. Loading pictures just so you can read a thread would be a real drag on dial up.

guess I forgot about those poor dialup users... I withdraw my request...
(i'm sitting here working from home, pulling reports, I just pulled a 10.9mb file in 42 seconds... I love my cable modem...)
Pappy, I'm not sure who you asked about chest freezer sizes, so I'll answer too. mine is a 15 cubic foot model. currently I have a half barrel of commercial beer, four cornies, a 20 lb co2 tank, and two cases of pop in mine...
