Does the following seem like a good deal? if not does anyone know where to get a comparable kit that at least includes everything this has for less?

Starter Plus w/ Secondary Fermenter and Deluxe Kegging Package
Ready to start brewing but don't want to deal with cleaning and filling all those bottles every time? That's fine, we've got you covered. Kegging your beer is a great way to save time and space. Plus, you have your own beer on tap. What could be better than that?

The Kegging System consists of one refurbished 5 gallon keg( the perfect size for a batch of homebrew), a 5# Co2 Tank(lasts about 15 batches), and a double gauge regulator that shows not only the line pressure, but also the remaining tank pressure so that you know when to refill the tank. The kegging equipment comes preassembled with all the necessary tubing and connectors. Due to mail restrictions, the Co2 tank is shipped empty.

In addition to the kegging system, this starter kit all everything from our Starter Plus with Secondary kit, as well as a 25' immersion wort chiller and a 5 gallon stainless steel brew pot.

The 25' immersion wort chiller allows you to easily cool down 3-4 gallons in 10 minutes! The quicker you chill your wort, the clearer your brew will be. The chiller can connect to a hose spigot outside, or if you plan on brewing inside we include a faucet adapter which will allow it to connect to your kitchen sink!

The 5 gallon stainless steel brew pot is the perfect size for brewing extract or partial mash batches. Also, it will not chip and rust like cheaper enamel covered pots.
Package Includes:

* 6.5 gallon fermenter with lid
* 6.5 gallon bottling bucket with spigot

That seems a bit high. Try this:

Though it doesn't come with a kettle....

For a 5 gallon batch you want a bigger kettle than 20 qt. I would suggest a minimum of 30 qt. Extract brewing does benefit from full batch boils and a larger kettle gives you room for expansion, not to mention avoids boil-overs. I found a 60 qt stock pot at an army surplus store for less than $100.

I think the Midwest kit is a much better deal.
For $60 I bought my son a turkey fryer with 30 quart aluminum pot at Home Depot. With that you can do full boils outside.

Though it doesn't come with a kettle....

That is the Kit we were looking at initially, the thing is on a side by side comparison it doesn't have some key items that i want.

The different items are as follows:
Bolded are the things that are important to me.
Expensive kit:

# 6.5 gallon bottling bucket with spigot
# 20 Quart Brewing Pot
# 25' Immersion Wort Chiller
# Faucet Adapter
# 10" Hydrometer test jar
# Bucket clip
# Quality bottle capper
# 50 Bottle Caps
# 21" Stainless steel spoon
# Your choice of one Alpine Brew Kit

Cheaper Kit:

1- 5 Gallon Glass Carboys

• 2 oz. PBW Cleaner

• FermTech Wine Thief

• Eight Inch Funnel

• Refrigerator Thermostat Control

Ok ill admit the extra carboy would be nice BUT, it isn't enough to make up what i would be giving up with this kit, the temp controller is also nice but my woman, who is buying this for me as my late Xmas gift, wants a Digital temp controller(she is OCD that way). Now if i add the items that the cheaper kit is missing:

Faucet Adapter-$2.50

Copper Immersion Wort Chiller- $64.95

Stainless Steel Brewing Pot- 5 Gallon-$39.95

Red Baron Bottle Capper-$15.95

21" Stainless Steel Spoon -7.95

10" Hydrometer test jar- plastic-$2.95

Power Pack Porter w/ Muntons 6 gm Dry yeast-$33.50

Bottling Bucket with Spigot-$12.50

Total-180.25 +319.95=500.20

So whereas yes the "cheaper kit" looks cheaper, when you add what the other kit has, that the cheaper kit does not have,it in fact comes out a bit more expensive, not much more, but a bit more lol
