Hey gang!

I'm from the Philadelphia area but I will be in Orange County in mid-January. I always try to find good brewpubs and/or beer bars when I am on the road.

Just this year I uncovered a gem of a place in Salt Lake City Utah called Redstone. Just about every year I find another great spot.

Anyone have any suggestions? I'd be happy to buy you a beer for every good one you make!

where in orange county???
if your going to be near costa mesa i'd recommend the goathill tavern over 141 beers on tap, and across the street is the yard house , they have about 100 on tap. if your going to be in the south county there's pizza port in san clemente. irvine has a yard house and the rock bottom brewery, also the backstreet brewery. if your in the city of orange there's hollingshead and in huntington beach a B.J.'s ,and another, main street brewery i think it's called . but i could help you better if i knew exactly where in O.C. your going to be.
cheers

p.s. welcome aboard!

I'll be in Laguna Bach, but I have a car, so mobility is not an issue. Heck I drove 400 miles this summer to try a new brewpub!

ANd thanks for the welcome!

but you'd do your self a solid if you stop in costa mesa, about 8-10 miles north of laguna. go strieght up the p.c.h.(pacific coast highway) the 1. exit newport blvd towards costa mesa. about 2 miles up is the goat hill tavern. and across the street is the yard house about a block up. just after harbor blvd.
1830 Newport Blvd
Costa Mesa, California, 92627

also make sure to stock up here before you leave
http://www.hitimewine.com/

the easiest way to get there is east/south on 17th st comming down newport blvd. go down to the 2nd stop light you'll see a stapels on the right hand side,go in the parking lot and right behind stapels on the left hand side is the hi time wine cellar.

also you could head south down the 5 and visit pizza port...about 10-15 miles in san clemente
301 N. El Camino Real
San Clemente, CA 92672

hope all this helps laguna is a nice place to visit and your in a pretty good spot beerwise;)

cheers
