I just vomited in my mouth a little. It's OK though, I was able to get the taste out of my mouth with some homebrew.
Sorry if someone else has reported on this catastrophe, but doesn't Budweiser know that Poland Spring cornered this market a decade ago?

"It's almost like drinking a glass of water, but it has the beer taste".
That struck me as funny. :)

Gotta love this quote:
Chris Bethel switched to Select 55 because it is low-cal. He says he likes the light taste and doesn't mind the reduced alcohol. "I'm not a college kid trying to get wasted," says the 36-year-old network engineer in the Columbus, Ohio, area.
I am revoking this guy's man card.

Right. Switching to a full flavor and satisfying craft beer and only drinking one or two wouldn't be a better alternative? He probably said the quote with a lisp!

At least these people didn't pretend that this stuff is good beer, those are the people who bother me. When a lite beer drinker asks to taste my homebrew I pour him/her a glass with the disclaimer that "If you drink Coors lite so you can drink 40 of them in one sitting you may like this, but if you think Coors lite is great beer you're probably not going to enjoy even my Happy Wife Beer.
OTOH somebody left a 6 pack of Sam Adams Light in my fridge and it really wasn't bad at all.

don't have the quote but kinda thought the statement about "having to drink twice as much" was kinda funny too. I mean - why not just have one of the good beers vs many bad ones... doesn't make a lot of sense... 2.4%! Really!?!
