Where have folks seen Okoberfests beers around town. Which ones. Fritz did a piece recently on places having Okotberfest themed events and from that I know Gordon Biersch have tapped their Okto and RFD is having a special on Oktos. Anything else?

My BIL is serving Victory Festbier (bottles only unfortunately) at his joint for the next few weeks.

From what Ive seen/heard you can find the following out there locally:

District Chophouse: Oktoberfest
Gordon Biersch: Marzen
Richbrau: Oktoberfest (if you can find this in town)
Rockbottom: Rocktoberfest
Starr Hill: Festie (again may not be DC local but this was THE BEST seasonal of last year by far)
Sweetwater Tavern: Oktoberfest
Cap City: Oktoberfest
Flying Dog: Dogtoberfest (actually had this on tap at a Nationals game this week!)

Theres probably others Im forgetting. Best bet is to check out local Oktoberfests. Im going to the National Harbor Oktoberfest this weekend and hope to try some local stuff. I was up in Philly last week and had Victory's Fest on tap and it was pretty good. Heres a pretty good resource (http://dc.about.com/od/specialevents/a/Oktoberfests.htm?nl=1) for some local Oktoberfest festivals. Theres too many in too few days! We need to spread these out a little more...

I saw Bells Oktoberfest at BreadSoda in Gloverpark. I also put together a list of events I thought were worthwhile....http://dcbeer.com/2009/09/18/prost-dc-oktoberfest-events-guide/

Sounds good. Ill be heading to Fredericksburg for Capital Ale House's official Oktoberfest celebration in the streets of the historic Downtown. Initially they said two fest beers would be on tap but now Im hearing rumor that as many as 15 will be there! My thinking is they wont all be Oktoberfests though. Guess we'll see...

Was there last night and took a look at the beer list for next week. It had the following on it (and maybe acouple more I am forgetting):
Paulaner Okto
Hacker-Pschorr Okto
SA Okto
Brooklyn Okto

Don't know what surprises they are keeping to themselves until the actual event, but the bartender told me that over 100 kegs of Okto were arriving today.

The Oktoberfest at Capital Ale House in Fredericksburg this weekend was WUNDERBAR!! It was run like an Oktoberfest, not just a beer fest like many are. They had an Oompah band and dancers.
More importantly, the beers were as follows (this was a block long street party in front of CAH, the selection inside was bigger and well beyond the German lagers):
Paulaner Okto
Hacker-Pschorr Okto
Paulaner Lager
Hacker-Pschorr Weiss

They also sold shots (big shots) of Jaegermeister, Baernjager, Goldschlager, and one other I can't remember.

Bot full liters of the Paulaner Okto I drank were FANTASTIC!

Agreed that it was a good time. Although they could stand with closing off another street or two and add at least another beer trucks/food purchase area. The lines got a little ridiculous weaving back onto each other in confusing fashion. But the free steins were a nice touch! No cheap plastic cup there. And after running out of cash outside, we wound up going into the Ale House where there was no wait at all for a table and they would fill your steins with even more beers than they did outside!
