I am bottling tomorrow and need to know how many cups of sugar I need to prime a little over 2 gallons of beer. I'm looking for about 2 volumes of CO2, a little bit either way won't hurt, and I will be using table sugar. I was thinking about 1/4 cup, but I don't want bombs as I am giving some as gifts. I'm a bit cruel ain't I?

Let's see... 5-gallon kits generally call for 3/4 to 1 cup priming sugar. 3/4 * 2/5 = .3, so I would say that one third cup in 2 gallons should be good. Add a tablespoon or so if you want more carbonation.
