Shank part question, need help

Millrats post turned me onto American coffee and urns 4" cylindrical tower. Question is, do I need to find shanks with the right shape collar to fit a 4" tower, hopfully with a curved inlet tubing. If so any sources for these stainless shanks or flanges to addapt?

Sorry I can't help. I got a T-tower with the box on top, so the shank collars are on a flat surface. But yeah, that 4" tower gives you lots more room for lines and for a baffle so you can blow in cold air to keep the lines and shanks chilled than the 3" column does.

Ya the baffle convinced me to go to 4". I can find short shanks with a contured collar but none of them describe the size tower they are ment to fit. I have to assume they fit a 3" tower since that size of tower dominates the market. I'm about to give up on a round tower and go square like you did.
Next on the shopping list is a drip tray the surrounds the tower to catch condensation.

Well I got all my kegorator stuff in and as I thought, the collars on the elbow shanks don't fit a 4 inch round tower very well. They are designed for a 3" tower. They wobble a bit so I'm gonna grind them down a bit to see if I can make them fit better. Other than that the new rig looks great especially with the 4 inch tower. Kegerator is up and running like a charm. Made a baffle fan from a radio shack 4" fan and project box. Perlic fawcets and 4" tower. Custom drip tray for tower condensation. Undercounter fridge fits 2 carboys and co2 tank. Thanks Millrat, and others for the great advice on construction. I love this forum.
