can anyone give me an estimate for # lbs of blueberrys or rasberrys in 5 gallons of amber beer?

Assuming you're adding the berries to secondary, I'd figure no more than 1.5 pounds of raspberries, because they have a strong flavor and will quickly dominate a mild-mannered amber. For the blueberries, which are much milder, I'd put in 4-5 pounds without worrying.

I would go with 1lb of raspberries per gallon, or 2lbs of blueberries as a starting point.
