I need some help....

I received a phone call from a brother in Florida wanting to know waht to buy, for his future father-in-law, to start him off homebrewing. The man has always been a tinkerer, so my brother thought this was a great idea.......He was standing in front of a "Homebrewing in a Can" display at Target."......... I informed him to get thee to a Homebrew Market at once and that I would do my best to point him in the right direction. As I looked through all the possible places , all I found was Hearts Home Brew in Orlando. He is in the Trinity/Newport Richey area. If anybody has any suggestions, I'd much appreciate it. I'd hate to let a good gesture go to waste.

I had a similiar experience last weekend. My Brother in law from NC was up visiting and we were in a shop selling one of those cheap homebrew systems. He was very interested in it. I told him NOT to buy it. To make a long story short ( and so I can make other posts to catch Fret) I ended up giving him my old brewing equiptment. Or most of it. I had not brewed since 93 so I figured I would not need it. I also gave him a worn copy of Papazians Complete Joy of Homebrewing. He says he knows a couple guys who live near him that brew. He will have them over and ask for thier help. I would not be suprised to see him pop up on this board for advice. Now I guess if I decide to brew again I have to buy NEW stuff:D
